Dear 2010

Dear 2010,

When the clock strikes twelve it will be a bittersweet feeling. I am sad to see you go, but excited for what the future brings. I will always remember 2010 as one of the best years of my life...and here is why.

You showed me that patience is a virtue and that saying 'good things come to those who wait' really does have some meaning behind it. The month of January filled me with one of the most exciting times of my life. You were there on January 28th, 2010 when Tom got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. After that point the year of 2010 proved to be the year of Tom and Ali. (at least to us). We got married on October 2 and took the plunge into homeownership. Two of my very good friends married their college sweet hearts, my best friend was proposed to just days ago and I was also lucky enough to see my beloved vegas family all throughout the year. I acquired a wonderful family, whom I love already and can't wait to spend more time with. I made a career move and for once it turned out to be the right move. I discovered that I loved running and have signed up for my first 10 mile race.

2010, you were quite the ride and I can not thank you enough for the memories. I can only pray that 2011 will bring even more laughs and happiness.

I am excited to start the year fresh. Which is why I will most likely be sipping on a glass of wine watching the ball drop from my home versus going to a bar and waking up with a hangover.

Good Night 2010, Sweetdreams 2011 and I will see you tomorrow. You have some big shoes to fill.

Ali M.
